Holly Adams Pledges to Reject Big Pharma Money - Calls for Accountability in Washington

Cincinnati, OH /March 30 2026— Holly Adams, candidate for Ohio’s First Congressional District, today announced a firm pledge to reject all campaign contributions from big pharmaceutical companies and their political action committees, drawing a sharp contrast with career politicians she says are too often influenced by corporate interests.

Adams said the decision reflects her commitment to putting patients, families, and taxpayers ahead of powerful industry lobbyists.

“For too long, Washington has been dominated by politicians who take money from Big Pharma and then turn around and protect their profits instead of the American people,” said Adams. “I will not take a single dime from big pharmaceutical companies or their PACs. My loyalty is to the people of Southwest Ohio — not corporate special interests.”

Adams pointed to rising prescription drug costs, lack of transparency in pricing, and what she called “backroom deals” between lawmakers and pharmaceutical companies as evidence of a broken system.

“Families are being crushed by the cost of medications they depend on to live,” Adams said. “Seniors are choosing between prescriptions and groceries. Meanwhile, Big Pharma continues to rake in record profits while spending millions to influence Washington. That ends with me.”

Adams said rejecting pharmaceutical money is part of a broader commitment to restoring trust in government and bringing accountability back to Congress.

“This campaign is about representing the people — not the lobbyists,” she added. “When I’m in Congress, I will fight for transparency in drug pricing, increased competition to lower costs, and policies that put patients first.”

Adams also contrasted her stance with that of incumbent Congressman Greg Landsman, arguing that voters deserve to know where their elected officials stand when it comes to corporate influence.

“Voters have a right to ask: who is your representative really working for?” Adams said. “I’m making that answer clear from day one.”

Adams, a businesswoman with more than 30 years of private-sector experience, has built her campaign around economic relief, government accountability, and putting Ohio families first.

“For too many in Washington, it’s politics as usual,” Adams said. “For me, it’s about doing what’s right — even if that means saying no to powerful interests.”
